Once more, Lenovo "just" replaces the CPU in its T-series computers. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 CPU update is more promising, though. In contrast to last-generation CPUs, Tiger Lake represents a far more significant update. The new ThinkPad notebook is not perfect, though.
The sturdy, long-lasting design of the ThinkPad T14 (Gen 2) is beginning to seem shabby compared to some of the other ThinkPads in Lenovo's lineup. With 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs, it still offers consistent performance, and the battery life and thermals are superb. This should be considered if you're seeking a business laptop with many additional security measures and one of the best keyboards available.
The T-series sans the "s" suffix is a rock in Lenovo's current ThinkPad lineup: the ThinkPad T14 and ThinkPad T15, the mainstream business laptops for major corporate customers, have been using the same design since 2019. The ThinkPad T490 serves as the foundation for the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 under review today. There won't be as many new features, but the machine's design is tried and true. Additionally, this year's regular T-series keeps its 1.8-millimeter travel keyboard.
We will refer to the review of the ThinkPad T490 for information on the case, components, and input devices because the T14's design is nearly identical to that of the T490.

The Intel and AMD versions of Lenovo's well-known business notebook ThinkPad T14 are now referred to by the same model number. After reviewing the T14's Intel variant, we look deeper at the T14 AMD. Our test unit is a 20UES00H00 education model, which costs approximately 1,100 Euros ($1,308). The equivalent version for regular customers is listed in Lenovo's online store for about 1,300 Euros ($1,545).
Our test device has an AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650U processor, an integrated RX Vega 6 graphics card,
16 GB of single-channel RAM and a matte LowPower 1080p display.
The test model is the same as the ThinkPad T14 with the Intel processor that was previously tested; thus, we wish.
